Asynchronous coaching your clients actually watch.

Walk each client through their plan, their progress, or their numbers in a short video of your screen and your face. They watch when it suits them, with no call to schedule and no app to install, and you can see when they've opened it.

What is asynchronous coaching?

Asynchronous coaching is the support that happens between live sessions: you give feedback when you have time, and your client takes it in when they do. Most coaches already do it with long emails, chat messages, or voice notes in apps like Voxer.

Video makes it work better. Text loses your tone and voice notes lose the screen, so the client hears "look at the second column" without seeing it. A three-minute recording of you talking through their meal plan, training log, or spreadsheet gets the explanation across the way a session would, without the session.

What coaches record

Coaches on Chairkick use it for personal, one-client videos, usually two to five minutes long.

Plan walkthroughs.

Open the client's nutrition plan, program, or action plan and explain the why behind it. The client can rewatch it in week three, when the PDF alone would have been forgotten.

Check-in and progress feedback.

Answer the weekly check-in with a short video over their numbers, photos, or log. It feels personal, and it takes less time than writing the same feedback out.

Reviews of the client's own work.

Business and finance coaches walk through the client's spreadsheet, P&L, or website on screen, pointing at the exact cell or line instead of describing it.

Answers between sessions.

When a client sends a question that needs more than a sentence, reply with a quick recording instead of saving it for the next call.

How it works

  1. 1.Record in your browser

Share your screen with your camera in a corner bubble, or record just your camera for a face-to-face message. Nothing to install. Trim the start and end before you send it.

  2. 2.Name it for the client and file it in their folder

Give each client a folder, so their history is in one place when you prepare the next session. Folders are for you; clients only see the videos you send them.

  3. 3.Send the link

Paste the link into email, WhatsApp, or your coaching app. Your client opens it in any browser, on their phone or computer, without an account.

  4. 4.Know they watched

Because each client gets their own video, its view count tells you whether they've opened it. Clients can leave a comment at a specific moment or a quick reaction, again without an account, and you get notified.

What your client gets

  • One link, no setup. No app, no login, no password to forget.
  • Captions and a transcript. They can read along, or search for the part about protein instead of scrubbing.
  • Chapters and a short summary. Generated automatically for every recording you make.
  • Their own pace. Playback from 0.5× to 2×, and they can rewatch it as often as they like.
  • A way to answer. Timestamped comments keep their question attached to the moment it's about.

Private by default

Every video gets an unlisted link: it isn't listed or searchable anywhere, so only the people you send it to can watch. Client folders stay in your account, and nothing is shared with other clients unless you send them that link.

Prices and plan details checked August 28, 2026 against Loom's pricing page. New Atlassian-managed accounts do not support free Creator Lite roles on paid plans; legacy workspaces keep them until migration. External viewers can still watch public share links for free. See Atlassian's migration documentation. Calculate both account states.

As a solo coach you pay $9 a month, or $72 a year, for yourself. Your clients watch for free, however many you have. Already sending client videos with Loom? Paste your Loom share links and each video comes over with its title, date, and Loom's captions, so you don't have to re-record your library. See how switching works.

Frequently asked questions

What is asynchronous coaching?

Coaching support that doesn't happen live: you give feedback when you have time, and the client takes it in when they do. Common formats are email, chat, voice notes, and short personal videos. Video is the closest to a session because the client sees and hears you, and sees what you're pointing at.

Is Chairkick a Voxer alternative for coaching?

Partly. Voxer is two-way voice and text messaging, which suits quick back-and-forth. Chairkick is for the longer explanations: a recorded walkthrough of your screen and face that the client can rewatch. Clients reply with timestamped comments or in your usual channel. Many coaches use a chat app for quick messages and video for feedback.

Do my clients need an account or an app?

No. They open the link in any browser, on a phone or a computer. They can watch, comment, and react without signing up, and they never pay.

Can I see if my client watched the video?

Yes. Each recording shows its view count, so when every client gets their own video, you can tell whether they've opened it. You're notified when a client comments or reacts.

Can I record just my camera, without sharing my screen?

Yes. Choose camera-only for a face-to-face message, or share your screen with your camera in a corner bubble. You can also upload a video you filmed on your phone.

Is Chairkick a coaching platform?

No. It doesn't do scheduling, payments, or client portals. It does one job, recording and sharing personal videos, and works alongside whatever you already use: email, WhatsApp, or a coaching app.

Can I move my Loom videos?

Yes. Paste your Loom share links into the importer, up to 500 at a time, and each video comes over with its title, original date, and Loom's captions as a transcript. Each imported video gets a new Chairkick link.
