Loom is moving legacy workspaces into Atlassian administration. Those two account states can have different roles and annual billing mechanics, so a single per-seat formula is not accurate for everyone.

Creator Lite members can remain free until the workspace is migrated. The legacy annual mode is an estimate based on paid Creators; the workspace invoice remains the source of truth.

The default calculator models a net-new or migrated workspace because that is the account a buyer receives today. In that mode, people entered as workspace members count toward the Loom bill; people merely opening a public share link do not. Legacy mode treats non-recording members as Creator Lite and should be checked against the real invoice before making a purchasing decision.
Monthly totals apply Loom's published graduated USD rates. Annual integrated totals use the exact flat USD tier containing the selected user count. Enterprise pricing, taxes, negotiated contracts, nonprofit or education discounts, and currencies other than USD are excluded.

Is this Loom pricing calculator accurate?
It separates new or Atlassian-integrated workspaces from legacy Loom workspaces, applies the published monthly rates and annual USD tiers through 500 users, and links every source. Taxes, negotiated contracts, discounts, and non-USD prices are excluded.
Does every person who watches a Loom video need a paid seat?
No. An external recipient opening an ordinary share link is not automatically a workspace user. The billing difference concerns people added inside a paid workspace: new and migrated Atlassian workspaces no longer support the free Creator Lite role, while legacy workspaces may retain it until migration.
Why does the annual Loom total jump at some team sizes?
Atlassian-managed annual subscriptions use flat user tiers. The workspace pays the total for the tier containing its user count, so crossing a tier boundary can produce a larger jump than adding one monthly user.
